Acacia and other hard coated legume species such as Hardenbergia,Kennedia,Dodonaea,Daviesia,Pultanaea's and more.
The most commonly used method is heat treatment.Boiling water is poured onto the seeds and this can then be left to cool for at least 4 hours. Then drain the seed off and it is ready to sow.For bulk quantities we can scarify the seed prior to delivery.Using either method germination should occur within 28 days.Keep the growing mixture moist and warm.Only cover the seeds very lightly. They can be pricked out and planted into pots when the first adult type leaves appear.
Eucalyptus and other fine seeded species such as Leptospermum,Melaleuca,Callistemon,Casuarina,Syncarpia and more.
The seed should be sown onto the soil surface.Cover with a fine layer of sand or soil.Keep moist but not wet.Keep warm and in an area of good light. The seedlings can be pricked out when the true leaves appear (it is also okay to wait a little longer than this). They can then be planted out into individual pots and grown on for a period of time. When they are planted out it is important to give them regular water for the first 6 weeks.
