Winter is here and with it comes the usual problems of wet and cold weather.This slows the extraction time for native species such as Eucalyptus.We have seed from recent collections under cover and soon to be processed once the dry weather returns.Some of the species include Eucalyptus citriodora,Eucalyptus radiata,Eucalyptus cypellocarpa,Eucalyptus pauciflora and more.

The recent price increases to diesel have been a real concern.Seed collection requires plenty of time and distance to find worthwhile seed crops.It's hoped the prediction of fuel prices being reduced in the near future will prove correct.

Palm seed species we collect over the winter months such as Phoenix canariensis and Washingtonia robusta and filifera will keep us busy.We have recently aquired a palm seed skinning machine that has been very beneficial.
